Dreamcatchers, and God’s Eyes + smiles all around.

What a fun weekend! Becky Brisco joined us at the store to launch her most amazing line for kids called “Little Edie”. A very lucky bunch of customers got to make dreamcatchers and god’s eyes with Becky her self, and we played in the tee pee, gazed at mobiles, and enjoyed the new friends we made. Thanks so much for coming out – and if you missed it – stayed tuned for a dream catcher kit  made by Collage Collage + Becky Brisco. I love when we get to make something great with our friends.

CRAFTERNOON Round Up!

What a fun week. The weather inspired us to make a few rainbows, and we created some amazing birds + Niki de Saint Phalle playgrounds too. And did you hear us on CBC? We’ll follow with a link soon, but for now, here’s a few highlights from our Crafternoon week 2!

NEW BOOKS have arrived, and Christopher Walken reads, and Raincity Chronicles too.

I just unpacked a LOAD of new books. Really, really beautiful ones too – including this one illustrated by Saul Bass. It’s as beautiful as I remembered, you’re bound to fall in love with it too. And, for the grown ups who love kids books as much as I do, here’s a little something my pal Lizzy shared with me that just about made my afternoon.

If you’re a grown up who likes to listen to our tell stories, you should check out Raincity Chronicles next Thursday, March 29th. It’s the adult equivalent to gathering around the rocking chair here, except for that the content is all true, and it’s told to adults by adults. Great fun, and one of my favourite events in Vancouver.

Little Edie – March 31st

I am SO excited for our Little Edie launch with Becky Brisco on March 31st. I’ve been a huge fan of Becky’s ever since I came across her jewellery several years ago. Becky has expanded her line with “Little Edie” created with children in mind. We’ll be making dream catchers and god’s eyes on March 31st from 2-4 and celebrating Little Edie. Won’t you join us?

March Break Week ONE Round Up!

What a great week! Thanks to our Drop In spots available this week we had a such a good time making Picasso inspired animal heads, Eric Carle inspired Sea Horses, and beautiful terrariums too! Nice work Crafternoon kids! Looking forward to our next group next week!
