We’re so thrilled to be a part of the Vancouver Draw Down happening on Saturday June 9th. For the past few weeks, daily drawing projects have been happening all over the city, and June 9th will be filled with events all over town featuring drawing with different artists.
Julie Morstad will be with us to on June 9th from 2-4pm to Draw Up a make believe menagerie with kids and families. We’ll make a paper circus! No need to register, just come on down and draw with us. Best suited for kids 5 and up!
I had the pleasure of working late with some Victory Gardens ladies a few nights ago and we made all these kits! A handmade planter box with row markers, soil, rocks and seeds – all ready to go. Join us tomorrow from 2-4 in the store, come on up to the big table and MAKE&GROW something great.

As you might already know, our most wonderful Sarah Jane Holtom is moving away. We had such a wonderful Saturday watching her make portraits all afternoon long. You should see her most amazing portrait show at the Black and Yellow Gallery that runs to the end of this month; you might even see a familiar face or two!
Sarah is heading up north to the Yukon for an artist residency and you can follow her adventures here. Â We’re also collecting some NEW UNUSED art supplies to send up north for the budding artists of Inuvik. More info here- and please just NEW or gently used supplies!
