This weekend is the East Side Culture Crawl; a wonderful weekend in East Van where artists open their doors and let you take a peek into their studios. I’m gonna try to get to a few stops along the way, but one thing I wont miss is a trip to the studios of Kyu Hwang (remember the great big whale painting?) and Andrea Wan, (December 8th) both of whom have shown, or are about to show here at Collage Collage.

And if you’re out and about, stop by Fukai Gallery and check out their 10X10 show which includes my own work; I’m always really proud to be a part of a show at this wonderful little gallery on Hastings Street.

I stayed late at the shop last night, and hung up all the new art work! Prints and/or originals from banquet, The Wild Unknown, Julie Morstad, Sarah Holtom, Draw Me A Lion and our favorite tiger from Team Macho too!

We’re so thrilled with all the changes taking place on our block, there’s so much more company now! With Heartbreaker Salon, Thriller, and the soon to be opened Matchstick Coffee Roasters, we couldn’t be happier about our block.

Che Baba Yoga studio has opened just a few doors down from us, and we’ve synced out schedules so that kids can do an art class here at the shop while mom or dad attends a class. WEDNESDAY mornings at 10am. Classes are for kids 3 and up! Cool hey? You should come and try us!
